About Us

 

Our captain and tour guide Nahuel Ayala was born and raised here on the island of Ambergris Caye. He is fluent in Spanish, English, French and Creole. During his school years, he excelled in outdoor sports, namely football (soccer in North America) and was rewarded with a full scholarship to continue his education in Florida.

 

 Upon his return to Ambergris Caye, Nahuel first found work in construction. From there he started working as a tour guide for various companies here on the island and it was then that he found his true calling. Nahuel set his sights and focused on a full time career in the tourism industry and has honed his skills in customer relations and focusing on the needs of his clients. During this time Nahuel earned his commercial captains license and began taking clients on local tours to all our famous locations (Hol Chan Marine Reserve, Shark-Ray Alley, Mexico Rocks) to name a few. Having an entrepreneurial mindset and recognizing that no other local tour operators focused on offering private tours, Nahuel jumped on this opportunity.

 In 2015 Nahuel pooled his savings, bought a boat and formed his company Under Da Sea Adventures. Always known for his bright smile and welcoming demeanor Under Da Sea Adventures began receiving more and more recognition on the island and is now a highly sought after tour guide service.

 Keeping to his initial vision, Nahuel has kept true to his main focus of offering the very best private tours the island has to offer. Because of this focus the challenges presented in 2020 were easier to overcome. After receiving our BTB Gold Standard certification, we were able to continue our tours following all the safety protocols  that were put in place. 

 

 As we continue to grow as a company we are currently adding exciting new tours and options for you our customers.
